The former New York City mayor and consummate showman passed away early this morning at New York's Presbyterian Hospital. Koch was the Mayor of New York City from 1978 to 1989, and remained a fixture in politics and entertainment in the city. Ed Koch was 88 years old. Hizzoner will be missed.
