Because John Mayer is so damn classy, he talked about his super private relationship on Ellen saying "It was a private relationship and it's a private relationship still."

I guess if you wanna talk about something private, Ellen is the place to do it.  She basically just rambles on and overtalks her guests to the point of delirium, so if someone wanted to tell everyone the U.S. Launch Codes but somehow have nobody hear them-Ellen would be your best bet.  Oh by the way here's a picture from the interview with John Mayer looking like a Johnny Depp Drag King:
